About the Scholarship
Supporting Alma-High School Graduating seniors in the pursuit of post-secondary education in the field of auto mechanics or agriculture
Ryan died tragically on November 2, 1997, when he was struck while riding his bike to visit a friend; he was just 14 years old.  In an effort to turn this tragedy into something positive, the Ryan Owens Memorial Scholarship was established by his parents, Dave and Judy.
To honor Ryan’s interest in agriculture and auto mechanics, scholarships will be forever awarded in his name to Alma High School students who share Ryan’s interests and want to pursue a career in either of those fields.
