About the Scholarship
The Joyce and Gary Schaub Scholarship supports graduating seniors from Gratiot County high schools in their pursuit of post-secondary education at a college or university. Although Joyce and Gary no longer reside in the area, they have ties to Gratiot County. Joyce (Sherwood) Schaub taught at Michigan Avenue School in St. Louis and at Hillcrest Elementary School in Alma, for a total of 32 years. She has wonderful memories of the great students and staff that she worked with, and still enjoys reconnecting with friends.
Both Gary and Joyce grew up in homes that valued the importance of education. They are honored to be able to give students the opportunity to move one step closer to achieving their dream.
