About the Scholarship
Carson Fraker graduated from Ithaca High School in 1930 where he was the salutatorian of his class.  He participated in a number of activities at Ithaca to enhance his education including the baseball team and as editor of the yearbook staff.  Upon graduating from high school, Carson furthered his education at Michigan Technological University.
Education was important to Carson and he believed that everyone should have the opportunity to further their education beyond high school; which is why he established this scholarship with a planned gift from his estate.  Though a modest and humble man, he would surely be pleased that this scholarship fund has helped nearly 100 Ithaca students further their education since it awarded its first scholarship ten years ago this year.Â
